Joins Angers on loan from Lens

Bermont joined Angers on a season-long loan from Lens, the club announced.

Analysis: Bermont comes through the Lens academy after joining in 2020 and has progressed rapidly through the ranks, earning his first professional contract in August 2024. He spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Annecy in Ligue 2, making 33 appearances and scoring two goals to earn the division's Pepite de la Saison award, before returning to Lens and making 10 appearances in Ligue 1 last season. The 21-year-old left winger also played a role in Lens' Coupe de France triumph and represented France at under-20 level on eight occasions, including a run to the semifinals of the under-20 World Cup. The 1.87-meter winger arrives at Angers with the ambition of establishing himself as a regular starter and taking the next step in his development, with the club viewing him as an exciting attacking addition to their Ligue 1 squad heading into next season.
