Emam Ashour scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal) and two corners in Monday's 1-1 draw against Belgium.

Analysis: Ashour earned a start despite featuring only sparingly in the recent friendlies, chosen by coach Hossam Hassan for the creativity, dribbling, ball carrying and shooting power he offers. He justified the decision in the most direct way possible, scoring Egypt's only goal with a powerful long-range strike, and also took charge of corners from the left while fulfilling his defensive responsibilities with one tackle, one interception and one clearance. The only blemish on his night was a big chance he could not take that would have seen him walk away with a brace.
